VISITORS TO SHOWS – six million people visit agricultural and country shows in the UK annually – that’s about 10% of the population. You can find out what shows are on and when, link to their websites and access all the information needed to enjoy a great day out. EXHIBITORS AND COMPETITORS – you can find all the shows listed in date order or sort by area and access each show's website direct through this site. In excess of 6 million visitors are predicted to visit UK shows this year, so don’t miss out on a great opportunity.
MEMBERS – find the latest information on legislation, DEFRA news, HSE guidelines, suppliers and how to contact other shows in your area for help and assistance. Use the Members' forum to swap information and see best practice stories from other similar events.
The ASAO runs an Annual Autumn Conference, a Spring Learning Day and regional meetings around the UK. Membership brings with it cheaper rates on PPL (Phonographic Performing Licence) and access to a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) 24hr helpline.

Code of Practice – Preventing or Controlling Ill Health from Animal Contact at Visitor Attractions: every year millions of people visit premises where members of the public, particularly children, are encouraged to view or touch animals. The purpose of this Code of Practice is to help ensure visitor health and safety by providing sensible, practical and proportionate guidance on preventing or controlling ill health at visitor attractions. Animal Welfare Plan: agricultural Shows promote the public awareness of all aspects of farming and conservation. They provide an opportunity to see farm livestock presented at their best. Show organisers have an obligation to ensure that the best welfare practices are observed at all times and to demonstrate that due consideration has been given to all aspects of animal welfare at a Show a welfare plan should be developed.
