Consultative Bodies

The Association is actively involved with DEFRA, Weights & Measures, the Health & Safety Executive, Performing Rights Society, various Breed Societies, BSJA etc to promote the views of members and to ensure that legislation is not passed which makes its members' task even more difficult. Successes to date include:

• Self Employed regulations.

• Cattle passport scheme.

• Revision of Pop Code.

• New Sheep Health Scheme.

• Showground lease agreements.

• Public Inquiries with national relevance.
