Welcome to the ASAO website
The Association's members organise agricultural, equine and horticultural shows ranging from small local one-day events to major four-day national shows. Originally formed in 1923, the Association today has around 200 members who between them hold almost 400 show days throughout the UK and Eire.

Association has in the past, and continues today, to negotiate
at a national level to find solutions to ever changing organisational
requirements. All our members are happy to pass on information
and knowledge gleaned over many years. Please use our website
to find further information on events near you and on the varied
benefits of membership. |

Our
aim is not only to help show organisers stage successful events,
but to also encourage visitors to attend the various agricultural
shows, country fairs and equine and other activities run by
our members. Our member organisations play a vital role in today's
countryside, linking rural and urban communities. Their events
strongly reflect our rich and varied rural inheritance.

The Association sets out to:
- Promote Agriculture, Horticulture and the Countryside through Shows and other Events
- Encourage and share Best Practice between Agricultural Societies and related organisations
- Encourage and support Education across the full spectrum of Agriculture, Horticulture and the Countryside through shows, conferences, projects and initiatives
