David Tite - Society Director, Driffield Show Society

David first began his association with the Driffield Agricultural Society in 1990 working as part of the Driffield Show preparation team during his school holidays!

He was appointed as Director of the Society in 2006 and since that time has successfully reviewed the running of the Society increasing the rental activity of the Showground, as well as establishing the Annual Driffield Show as one of the largest one day agricultural shows in the country. David also oversees the running of the monthly Driffield Farmers’ Market and sits on many local committees aimed at supporting the rural community. 

David is also a time-served furniture designer and craftsman and lectured in the subject for over seven years.

Border Union Agricultural Society - Company Secretary and Treasurer

Ron joined the Border Union in 1998.  Before that farmed since 1965 with the major enterprise being pedigree Hereford cattle.  He has shown at all the major Shows in the UK and has judged many Shows including Royals in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eire and in Germany plus trips to Poland, Hungary and Canada so he has experience of Shows “on both sides of the fence”.   Married to Joan, their son, Robert, now runs the family enterprise and daughter, Julia, is married and lives in Sydney, Australia.

Ron is a fervent believer that everything must be done to maintain all Shows and Agricultural Associations as they are the lifeblood of rural communities.

He enjoys all sports and any time off is spent on the farm!  Former involvement in SNFU at county level and awarded an ARAgS in 2006.
