Castlewellan Agricultural Show

Castlewellan Show is a truly country show, our grounds are set in the stunning Castlewellan Forest Park, in the shadow of the beautiful Castlewellan Castle, which was built in 1856 by the Annesley Family. The Park now owned by the Department of Agriculture, Environment & rural affairs and ran by Newry, Mourne. & Down District Council.

We host a 1 day show in July every year, as is said in Northern Ireland our show is the Saturday after the 12th even if it’s the 13th, the 12 &13th of July are traditional holiday times in Northern Ireland. This year our show is on Saturday 13th July we host a range of sections, Sheep, Pigs, Rabbits, Goats, Donkeys, Horses, Ponies, Cattle, Dairy, Home Industries, Poultry, Show Jumping, Carriage driving, Stick Carving, Model farms, Vintage displays, Fleece spinners, Fine Food & Crafts to name but a few.

Our show has a £10 admission charge and under 12’s are FREE young farmers members are half price.
