Penistone Agricultural Show

This is a one day agricultural show which first started in 1854 and is still held in the heart of the Penistone community. It boasts a wealth of competitions in livestock, heavy horses, and show jumping. There are also classes in handicraft,  handicraft and horticulture.  We have poultry competitions and a dog show to enter on the day. There are bars with music throughout the showground along with traditional brass bands. There are vintage vehicles with demonstrations in ploughing and mowing, a countryside area full of rural crafts and activities, a food hall packed with goodies to tantalise your taste buds, a craft tent full of local makers and trade stands for some retail therapy. Add in a diverse range of food outlets and you’ve got a fantastic day out.
