Portishead Summer Show

The Portishead Summer Show which is organised by the Portishead and District Horticultural Society will be celebrating its 160th anniversary in July 2023, the first Show having been held in 1863.   The Show is a combination of a traditional flower and produce show and a country fair with something for everyone.  It is the major event in the Portishead calendar.

With 24,000 sq feet under canvas the Show hosts over 300 vegetable, floral, handicraft and cookery competition classes.   This year’s main arena entertainment includes the Shetland Performance Display Team, Fusion Extreme Mountain Bike Display, M & M Gundogs and Mini Pony Show. Sea shanties from the Barnacle Buoys. 40’s and 50’s music from The Cats Pyjamas and a Samba Band. We also have Punch and Judy, Fun Rides and a Fun Dog Show.

With 85 trade stands selling a range of produce. We have our own refreshment team who run the tent as well as pizza’s and a horse box bar.
