Formed around 1831, the RAS has held an annual show for the last 186 years, with only a few years interruption during the World Wars, Foot and mouth in 2021 and most recently Covid 19 in 2020.
The Rutland County Show is our biggest fundraising event of the year and one of the oldest agricultural shows in the country and combines a wealth of traditional attractions and rural education alongside our prestigious livestock and equine classes as well being a wonderful family day out with great shopping.
There’s so much to see with cattle, sheep, goats, horses, ponies, poultry, show-jumping and this year our biggest ever gathering of heavy horses. You can also enjoy tractor pulling, vintage machinery, rural crafts and a farrier competition.
Visit over 250 unique trade stands selling everything from homemade crafts through to furniture, clothing and pet-care alongside delicious locally produced food and drink.
