Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association Launches ‘Front Room Farming’ Activities

The Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA) with our Farm & Country education project, has launched a series of activities that children can do from home, learning about topics such as Livestock and Dairy Farming, and activities that cover subjects such as English, Science and Art!

In the light of the Covid-19 outbreak, many of our children are now being schooled from home, our activity sheets gives parents some different and unique ideas for home lessons, and focuses on how our farms work, where our food come from, and our environment – topics that are vitally important for our children to learn about.

Our resources are free to use and available on our website, the activity sheets work alongside our educational videos, also available on our website.

Our aim is for our activities provide a practical and stimulating method of learning, beyond the norms of the classroom.

Even parents might learn something new along the way!

The idea is to create a virtual classroom of children learning about some of the most important industries in our region, therefore we would love for those who take part to show us their work by tagging us in their social media posts and using the hashtag #FrontRoomFarming
