Members of the ASAO have access to an experience membership body, giving the opportunity to ask advice to other Members through e-mail, Facebook group and a friendly ear at the end of the phone.

Whilst every show is different, the Association is able to provide initial advice and guidance to members.

A specially negotiated discount for ASAO members on annual Phonographic Performing Licences (rates determined by visitor attendance), and a convenient subscription collection service.

Access to a 24 hour, 365 days a year Telephone Helpline, provided by the ASAO's Health & Safety partner. Members are automatically subscribed to this service for reassurance and guidance on all aspects of this complex area, and can request information on current legislation for any event or activity.

The chance to share complimentary tickets with other show organisers through an exchange system. Members can apply to other members for tickets to attend shows and events to share best practices and benchmark services, procedures and equipment. (Tickets are limited to 2 per event).

The opportunity to network with other members and show organisers and discuss current topics and issues via interactive Learning Days, the Autumn Conference and regional meetings.

ASAO Members have access to the a Members area of the website featuring a range of useful documents including slides from previous conferences, health & safety and GDPR. There is also a Members Facebook Group giving easy and fast answers to queries from other ASAO Members and event organisers.
Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December in any one year. All amounts are payable per annum and subscriptions are due by 31st January each year.
Costs are based on the events published in the Official List of Members’ Shows and on the ASAO website. A fee for a discounted PPL license is also due.
Once a member, your Show information will be entered onto the ASAO website and will appear in the annual show listings booklet.

£65.00 | Main Show or event with an attendance of 2,000 or less |
£120.00 | Main show or event with an attendance of 2,001 - 5,000. |
£160.00 | Main show or event with an attendance of 5,001 to 25,000. |
£190.00 | Main show or event with an attendance of 25,001 and above. |
£145.00 | Organisations which hold no shows or events, eg. Breed Societies, etc. |
Through the arrangement with PPL, all paid-up members of the ASAO are covered annually by the payment of a one-off fee for each 1,000 attendees. Those shows which have an attendance of 10,000 or less pay a fixed, minimum sum. 2024 charges are £37 for the first 10000 attendance and £4.00/1000 thereafter.
