From Australia’s Gold Coast, The Kangaroo Kid pioneered the world’s first ATV/Quad-bike stunt show in 1989. Over three decades the original Kangaroo Kid (Matt Coulter) shattered world speed, distance and rollover records – from jumping over a flying plane to the longest flat-ground jump ever to the first moving-ramp leap – and even teamed up with Graham Hicks for a blind-and-deaf speed record. His global exploits made him a household name at every major UK agricultural and motor event, headlining the Royal Welsh, Royal Cornwall, Royal Norfolk, Royal Cheshire, Royal Highlands, Royal Ulster/Balmoral, Royal Three Counties, Royal Lancashire and countless other county, motor and monster shows.

A New Generation Takes the Reins for 2026

In 1999, a four-year-old Sam Coulter (Matt’s youngest son) first took to the show on his Suzuki LT50, waving to the crowds while popping the quad up onto two wheels. Fast forward 10 years and in 2009, fourteen-year-old Sam Coulter joined his Dad’s show for the summer, performing at the Royal Welsh Show, landing his first jump over a car in front of tens-of-thousands of fans and igniting a lifelong passion. By 18 he was performing full-time across the UK’s top royal and county shows – perfecting the signature five-roll feat on the Kangaroo Kid “Rollover Quad,” pushing the boundaries on jumps over tractors, cars and monster trucks, and captivating crowds with live, in-helmet commentary. After spending some time overseas, Sam is thrilled to bring the Kangaroo Kid Show back to the UK in 2026 – continuing the world’s longest-running ATV/Quad-bike stunt legacy, with Matt still popping up for special appearances.
